Magnesium is the main component of the green color in plants (chlorophyll) and encourages the plant to make use of sunlight, resulting in healthy, dark green leaves. Magnesium consumption is high especially in wheat, maize, cotton, sugar beet, potato, sunflower and olive. Thanks to its granular structure, it can be easily applied to the soil mixed with base fertilizers using a fertilizer spreader. Magnesium also increases water use in the plant. In this way, the plant's drought tolerance period is extended.
