Detailed Information
Slow-Release Urea (with NBPT Inhibitor)
The urease inhibitor in Efor X 46 fertilizer delays the conversion of urea, preventing nitrogen losses in gaseous form and increasing the use efficiency of the fertilizer. By enabling more efficient use of nitrogen, it reduces fertilization costs.
Urea inhibitors are potentially useful tools for controlling or reducing gaseous ammonia losses following urea fertilization. They can limit hydrolysis for up to 7 to 14 days, after which rain, irrigation or soil mixing will be needed to further limit ammonia losses.
Because the magnitude of ammonia loss varies with soil type, climate and vegetation, the reduction resulting from the use of a urease inhibitor can also vary. Research shows that using NBPT-treated urea can reduce ammonia loss by 50% to 90% compared with untreated urea.
When we also consider points such as the fertilizer escaping into the air in gaseous form and this gas coming back with rain, the environmentally protective effect of Efor X46 fertilizer should also be taken into account.
