For high yield, a fast-acting and effective nitrogen source is important. For nitrogen in ammonia form to be taken up by the plant, it must be converted to nitrate nitrogen. During the conversion from ammonia-form nitrogen to nitrate nitrogen, more than 20% of the nitrogen is blocked by the soil and air, whereas pure nitrate nitrogen is fully suitable for direct plant uptake. Pure nitrate is especially important in bad weather conditions (cold, wet or dry), when biological activity in the soil is slow. Nitrogen that acts effectively and quickly in later growth stages meets the soil's short-term needs.

Because YaraLiva Nitrabor contains water-soluble calcium and a low amount of ammonia nitrogen, it does not acidify the soil.

Calcium is the building block of cell walls. Strengthening cell walls raises produce quality and makes the plant more resistant to drought, heat, salinity, insects and diseases, allowing the plant to tolerate various stresses and preventing physiological disorders. Moreover, calcium helps the plant develop by supporting enzyme regulation systems and improving nutrient uptake.

Boron and calcium work together to keep cell walls elastic and prevent tissue breakage, which raises produce quality. Boron is very important in the formation of fruits and seeds.
